Not About To Die began as an early-80s bootleg, released without the band’s consent and sourced from low-quality cassette copies of demos for Wire’s Chairs Missing and 154. Originally a shoddy cash-in with poor sound and packaging, it’s now officially released on the band’s own Pinkflag label. Properly remastered and presented with new artwork, the album captures Wire in transition, featuring embryonic versions of classics like “French Film (Blurred)”, “Used To”, and “Being Sucked In Again”, along with early takes on 154 tracks and previously unreleased songs.
