…If I Die, I Die (1982) contrasts with the Heresie box set, showcasing the Virgin Prunes’ duality—mythical worlds versus surreal insanity—and their genre-bending creativity. Recorded in Dublin with producer Colin Newman, the album’s vinyl sides are color-coded brown (earth) and blue (sky) with inverted artwork by Steve Averill. Ursula Steiger’s photos depict the band as nomads in a forest and performers with fire and mannequins in a derelict building.
