In 1996, after 14 years in the game, Too $hort announced his retirement with his 10th album Gettin' It, featuring Parliament Funkadelic and earning his 6th Platinum record. Though intended as a finale, he returned in 1999 with Can't Stay Away. Gettin' It blends Bay Area funk from Ant Banks and Shorty B with G-Funk elements, featuring artists like MC Breed and Erick Sermon. Now, Gettin' It gets its first official vinyl release in a special orange swirl edition with a gatefold jacket and lyric sheet.
