Mute presents EXTRA, a new album of live recordings and remastered tracks by Australian London-based post-punk band These Immortal Souls. It features intense covers like Alice Cooper’s “Luney Tune,” Iggy Pop’s “Open Up and Bleed,” Lee Hazlewood’s “Some Velvet Morning,” and Alex Chilton’s “Hey! Little Child.” Formed in 1987 by Rowland S. Howard (of the Birthday Party), his brother Harry, drummer Epic Soundtracks, and keyboardist Genevieve McGuckin, the band blended raw energy with haunting melodies.
