Released: 20/11/26
Originally released on 5 May 2003, High Anxiety was the band’s seventh full-length album, recorded at Parkgate Studios with producer Pete Bartlett and mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Pixies, Biffy Clyro). It was the first album to feature drummer Neil Cooper, previously of The Beyond, Cable and Gorilla.
Praised by Rock Sound as “a contender for album of the year” and by Classic Rock as “arguably the first grunge classic in 10 years,” the album delivers 11 tracks combining a fierce punk-rock edge with grunge-inflected songwriting.
This newly remastered edition marks the album’s first release on vinyl, pressed on 140g black vinyl. The 2CD edition adds demos of all 11 tracks recorded at Fortress Studios in 2002, further demos from Real World Studios in 2003, plus bonus tracks and B-sides.
