After breaking his wrist on tour and facing a lengthy recovery, Andrews wrote and recorded songs in a painstaking process, eventually crafting a record split into two parts. Produced with Tom Healy and featuring lush string arrangements by Victoria Kelly, the album reflects a journey from darkness to hope, culminating in a surprisingly uplifting conclusion inspired by the birth of Andrews’ daughter.
