This album was created to honour late co-founder Brian Jones, include the hit "Honky Tonk Women," and fill the gap since Beggars Banquet before the Stones’ first U.S. tour in three years. Featuring a powerful mix of psychedelia, space rock, punk, and classic rock hits, it quickly went gold. The UK version, more musically diverse, differs from the American release. Though later replaced by Hot Rocks compilations, it remains a focused collection of the Stones’ late ’60s highlights.
