Originally released in 1969, Let It Bleed is widely regarded as one of the Rolling Stones' greatest and most influential albums. A defining work of the late 1960s, it features some of the band's most iconic songs, including "Gimme Shelter," "Midnight Rambler," and "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
Drawing heavily from American roots music, the album blends gospel, country, Chicago blues, and country rock influences into a darker and more ambitious sound. Recorded mainly at Olympic Studios in London, it marked a transitional period for the band, with Mick Taylor joining during the sessions and contributing guitar to tracks including "Country Honk" and "Live with Me."
The limited edition box set features newly remastered audio by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering and includes stereo and mono versions of the album on 180-gram vinyl and SACD, a mono 7-inch single of "Honky Tonk Women"/"You Can't Always Get What You Want," an 80-page hardcover book with an essay by David Fricke and rare photographs, replica-signed lithographs, and a restored 1969-style poster.
