The Raincoats’ seminal 1979 debut, reissued with their debut single Fairytale in the Supermarket as the opening track. Formed by Ana Da Silva and Gina Birch, the post-punk trio blended raw, lo-fi sounds with emotional songwriting. Rediscovered in the ’90s thanks to Kurt Cobain’s support, they reunited for a fourth album and sporadic live shows. Their music combines harsh guitars, violin, and raw drums with haunting, heartfelt songs.
