Label: Fruits de Mer
Limited to 300 copies – 150 on each of two vinyl colours.
Another new name for Fruits de Mer, The Owl Service is the long-running alternative folk collective led by Steven Paul Collins, whose music has been inspired by Sandy Denny from the very beginning. It also features backing vocals from Owl Service regular Alison O'Donnell (Mellow Candle), who appeared on Fruits de Mer's second-ever single back in 2008.
The single features faithful interpretations of two classics: Fotheringay's The Sea and Fairport Convention's Genesis Hall, capturing the timeless folk-rock spirit of the originals.
