Needle Mythology presents a brand-new reissue of The Lilac Time’s universally acclaimed 1999 album Looking For A Day In The Night. The fifth album from the group formed by Stephen Duffy after stepping away from pop stardom, it marked their return following the acclaimed Astronauts (1991) and introduced Claire Worrall (now Claire Duffy), who remains a member of the band today alongside Melvin Duffy on slide guitar and returning member Nick Duffy.
The album finds Stephen Duffy exploring a rich vein of melodic introspection, recalling the bucolic warmth of The Lilac Time’s celebrated debut. This release marks the album’s first-ever appearance on vinyl, remastered at Abbey Road by Miles Showell. Featuring expanded original artwork by James Gosling, liner notes by Caitlin Moran, and a printed lyric inner sleeve, the vinyl edition is joined by a CD release featuring contemporary B-sides and live recordings.
