Originally released in September 1989, The Seeds of Love is the acclaimed third studio album by Tears for Fears and one of the defining albums of the 1980s. A major commercial and critical success, it reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 8 in the US, earning Platinum certification in both territories.
Featuring the classic singles “Sowing the Seeds of Love,” “Woman in Chains,” “Advice for the Young at Heart” and “Badman’s Song,” this reissue presents the album in a choice of expanded formats. The 2LP edition features the original album alongside demos and rare versions, pressed on special-effect blue vinyl, with several tracks appearing on vinyl for the first time. The classic album is also available as a half-speed master, cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios for enhanced audio fidelity, while the 3CD edition expands the collection with B-sides, alternate mixes and rare recordings, housed in a deluxe digipack with a booklet featuring new interviews with key contributors.
