This reissue launches the Silver Apples Foundation, a non-profit and imprint dedicated to honouring Simeon Coxe’s legacy by promoting electronic music and funding a scholarship. It precedes the forthcoming biography Electronic Evocations by Kris Needs.
The release features the final recording of “Oscillations,” captured live-style by Coxe at his Alabama studio in 2019, backed with a remix by Andrew Weatherall of “The Edge of Wonder” from Silver Apples’ last album, Clinging to a Dream. Complete with Simeon’s 2014 oscillator artwork, the original band logo, and a bonus Silver Apples slipmat.
