Hand Of Glory by Royal Trux, released on silver vinyl, is a 40-minute two-sided masterpiece of extended jams from circa 1985–89. Side one’s “Domo Des Burros”/“Two Sticks” is a sprawling, multi-layered, stream-of-consciousness epic likened to Beefheart’s Troutmask Replica. Side two’s “The Boxing Story” is a shifting, experimental homage to William Burroughs, blending tape loops and melodic fragments reminiscent of Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music. This unconventional release showcases Royal Trux’s raw creativity and lasting influence on alternative music.
