Following his acclaimed 2020 album The Red Planet, Rick Wakeman returns to Mars with Return To The Red Planet, a sweeping progressive work inspired by the planet’s ancient lakes, vast canyon systems, dust storms and geological history.
Drawing on recent Mars imagery, research and mission data, Wakeman combines science, imagination and musical virtuosity in an ambitious album that continues the cosmic spirit of progressive rock while exploring a world we understand more than ever before.
