In the mid-’80s, amidst the Miner’s Strike, the Redskins combined political activism with a unique post-punk rock/soul sound, led by Chris Dean aka ‘Tamla Motormouth.’ Known for their powerful live shows and fierce anti-Thatcher stance, they energized the working-class movement with benefit gigs and militant performances. These Furious Flames! is a 25-track live collection from their 1985 ‘Kick Over Apartheid!’ tour finale and a 1986 BBC concert, featuring guest appearances by Jerry Dammers and Billy Bragg. The release includes a detailed booklet and archival photos, celebrating the band’s legacy as fiery musical activists.
