From 1971 'Meddle' is widely regarded as Pink Floyd's first concept album, introducing the idea of a theme that can be returned to. The album features the seminal track 'Echoes' that filled a complete side of the original vinyl release. Everything about 'Meddle' is allowed to breathe and grow. Rocking opener 'One Of These Days' rises out of nearly a minute of wind effects; 'Fearless' delivers its slightly stoned punch over six minutes.
