The Penguin Cafe Orchestra Mini Album is an EP featuring six tracks: two from previous releases (‘The Penguin Cafe Single’ and ‘Air À Danser’), two live recordings from a 1982 Tokyo concert (‘Numbers 1-4’ and ‘Salty Bean Fumble’), and two previously unreleased pieces (‘The Toy’ and ‘Piano Music’). The live tracks were recorded by NHK Radio, while ‘Piano Music’ is a 1982 solo by Simon Jeffes. The cover features a painting by Emily Young and is the first reissue since 1983.
