On vinyl for the first time, Lost Songs compiles rare solo recordings from Paul Simpson’s “wilderness years” between 1989–1996. Featuring two of his personal favourites, “Astral Girl” and “Sunken Ships,” the collection highlights Simpson’s poetic songwriting and includes standout guitar work by a young Michael Mooney (Spiritualized, Julian Cope). A founding member of The Teardrop Explodes and frontman of post-punk legends The Wild Swans, Simpson’s influence on Liverpool’s musical legacy remains profound.
