Returning, Dream is the second album from Paradise Cinema, the genre-blurring project of Jack Wyllie (Portico Quartet/Szun Waves). Inspired by Fourth World music, quantum mechanics, and science fiction, the album blends ambient textures, jazz, and non-Western rhythms. Moving beyond the Mbalax-influenced debut, it features contributions from Senegalese drummers Khadim Mbaye and Tons Sambe, and Szun Waves’ Laurence Pike, creating a rich, otherworldly soundscape that explores parallel worlds through sonic fusion.
