The 1957 Ascenseur pour l'échafaud soundtrack by Miles Davis features Barney Wilen (tenor sax), Rene Urtreger (piano), Pierre Michelot (bass), Kenny Clarke (drums), and Davis on trumpet. Recorded overnight on December 4–5 at Poste Parisien studio, the score earned the Louis-Delluc Prize and boosted Davis’ European fame. This release is part of the New Ermitage collection, with 18 jazz and soul titles reissued on yellow vinyl in January 2024 with refreshed artwork.
