Mutant and WaterTower Music proudly present the first physical release of Mick Giacchino’s score for the award-winning limited series The Penguin.
Picking up after Matt Reeves’ The Batman (2022), the series reimagines Gotham’s underworld through a gritty character study of Oswald Cobblepot. Giacchino, who also contributed to the film’s score, bridges the heightened comic-book world with the grounded tone of showrunner Lauren LeFranc’s vision.
Chaotic and unpredictable like the Penguin himself, the music collides elegant string quartets with percussion built from trash cans, shifting between high society and street-level crime. The result is a bold, inventive score that both honours and expands the legacy of great Batman music.
