Come My Way, Marianne Faithfull’s 1965 folk debut, has been remastered from the original tapes by Grammy-nominated Andrew Batt, with sleeve notes Marianne contributed to before her passing in 2025. Released the same day as her pop LP, it reflects her roots in the American folk revival, featuring songs she performed in local clubs. Produced and arranged by Jon Mark, with Big Jim Sullivan and future Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, the album blends classic folk with subtle jazz flourishes. Highlights include “Spanish Is A Loving Tongue,” “Once I Had A Sweetheart,” and spoken-word pieces drawn from her theatrical background.
