Lori McKenna, a wife and mother of five, has become a prolific and respected singer-songwriter over three decades. Her 2016 album The Bird and the Rifle earned three Grammy nominations and multiple Americana nods. She made history by winning the Country Music Association’s Song of the Year twice consecutively for co-writing Girl Crush and writing Humble and Kind, both also winning Grammys. In 2017, she was the Academy of Country Music’s first female Songwriter of the Year. Her 2018 album The Tree was nominated for Americana Album of the Year. In 2020, she released The Balladeer, produced by Dave Cobb.
