King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard return to the officially sanctioned Bootlegger Series through Having Fun Records with one of the most striking editions yet. Inspired by Soviet-era “bone music” recordings, it nods to the underground practice of pressing records onto discarded medical x-rays.
Drawn from live recordings captured during the band’s 2025 performances at Field of Vision, this release turns the Bootlegger Series into a strange and beautiful archival object. It’s a playable human skull, rendered in translucent one-sided x-ray form.
