Just A Few Folk is JP Cooper’s long-awaited third album, produced by Cam Blackwood and co-written with Mr Hudson, Simon Aldred, Jamie Hartman, RØRY, and Neil Ormandy. Recorded entirely to tape at London’s Toe Rag Studios, the album captures intimate, everyday stories—family, relationships, and personal memories. Highlights include the soulful dedication “Diamonds and Gold,” the reflective “Sad Song,” nostalgic “Waiting on a Blue Sky,” and lead single “Summer of Love,” blending retro soul and 70s-inspired grooves. Cooper calls it his most personal work, made live with the band for a human, unfiltered sound in contrast to today’s AI-driven music.
