Vinyl repress of the debut Ice T album from 1987. Ice-T's debut album is a good example of what 80s hip hop was. The drum machine beats, the synthesized bass, and lots of shit talking and lyrics about enjoying life. However, what makes Ice-T stand out from other rappers of the 80s is the tracks in which he makes comparisions of street life and by the examples he gives. The best songs on this album are the ones that helped start gangster rap and the ones that glamorize illegal activities (6 N The Morning, Pain, Squeeze The Trigger). These songs showcase the Ice-T we'd know and love in the future.
