Live Through This, Hole’s second album released in April 1994 shortly after Kurt Cobain’s death, was the only to feature bassist Kristen Pfaff before her passing. Recorded in 1993, it marked a shift from raw hardcore to polished melodies, produced by Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie. The album’s lyrics explore themes of beauty, motherhood, anti-elitism, and violence against women.
