This new compilation features Heavenly’s classic indiepop singles, tracing their evolution from jangly, innocent love songs on early Sarah Records releases to the more complex, darker themes of later albums like Le Jardin de Heavenly and The Decline and Fall of Heavenly. Known for their dual vocals and expanding arrangements, Heavenly embraced the Britpop era with Operation Heavenly (1996), their final album before retiring the name following drummer Mathew Fletcher’s death.
