In 2012, Gruff Rhys set out on an "investigative concert tour" across America, retracing the journey of his distant relative John Evans in search of his unmarked grave. Each night featured songs and a PowerPoint presentation chronicling Evans’s incredible story. This journey inspired the 2014 American Interior album, book, film, and tour. Now in 2025, Rhys revisits the project with a full band, performing the original songs that soundtracked this unique blend of history, music, and storytelling.
