Grimes is the genre-blending project of Claire Boucher, born from Montreal’s DIY scene where punk meets pop. Since 2010, she’s become known for fusing music, visuals, dance, and performance into a singular artistic vision. Her 4AD debut Visions marked her fourth release in under two years, showcasing her prolific and experimental style. Her latest work draws on eclectic influences like Enya, Aphex Twin, and TLC, blending genres from IDM and K-pop to industrial and New Age for a sound that’s both futuristic and otherworldly.
