Before his passing, Chester Bennington announced a 2017 reunion of his first band, Grey Daze. After his death, longtime members Sean Dowdell, Mace Beyers, and guitarist Cristin Davis carried on the project, honoring Chester’s legacy. Following their 2020 album Amends, they completed The Phoenix, recorded with producer Esjay Jones at Sunset Sound Studios, staying true to their original 90s sound. This album continues to tell Chester’s story and celebrate his artistry. Grey Daze’s reunion and rework of early songs mark a full-circle tribute to the origin of one of modern rock’s most iconic voices.
