Grandaddy has released a new studio album, Blu Wav, via Dangerbird Records. Frontman Jason Lytle, known for his vivid storytelling, draws inspiration from both nature’s beauty and everyday moments. The album introduces pedal steel to the band’s sound for the first time, notably on the upbeat lead single “Watercooler.” Inspired by Lytle’s outdoorsy lifestyle contrasted with his partner’s office job, the song reflects on the end of several relationships with office workers. Lytle is excited to feature pedal steel across many tracks on the new album.
