Gilla Band return with their new album Pugnello, released via Rough Trade Records. Recorded between 2022 and 2026 across Hellfire, Yellow Door Music Studio, and Sonic Studios in Dublin, the album was produced by the band and recorded and mixed by Daniel Fox.
Following over a decade of pushing the boundaries of modern guitar music across Holding Hands With Jamie, The Talkies, and Most Normal, the Dublin quartet continue their evolution on Pugnello. In the years since Most Normal, each member pursued creative projects outside the band—from painting and touring with Lankum to producing artists including Sprints, Lambrini Girls, Mandy, Indiana, and launching the Null Club—experiences that helped shape the sound and vision of their latest album.
