Kazakh-British composer Galya Bisengalieva’s Polygon Reflections reimagines her 2023 album Polygon with collaborators including The Bug, Hatis Noit, KMRU, Lucy Liyou, Aïsha Devi, Hinako Omori, Balkhash Dreaming, and Alva Noto. Inspired by Kazakhstan’s Semipalatinsk Test Site, the original album mapped the region’s villages, landmarks, and natural features. This collaborative reinterpretation transforms the work into a cinematic, multi-textured soundtrack blending mechanical, electro-acoustic, cyber-electronic, and archival elements.
