In autumn 1968, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention began their second European tour with several German dates. On October 6th, they recorded a 35-minute instrumental, partly improvised session for the TV show Beat Club, featuring themes from their upcoming 1969 album Uncle Meat, plus snippets of the Five Tinos’ Don’t Do That and Wagner’s Lohengrin, tailored for their German audience.
