Emperor / Wrath of the Tyrants refers to Emperor’s early works: their debut EP Emperor (1993) and first full-length album Wrath of the Tyrants (1994). Both releases showcase the band’s raw symphonic black metal roots, with fast, aggressive riffs, atmospheric keyboards, and dark, epic themes. These early recordings established Emperor as a foundational force in the Norwegian black metal scene.
