Elton John’s Madman Across The Water (1971), written after his first US visit, became a fan favorite and marked the first album to feature all five members of his classic band. With hits like Levon and Tiny Dancer—now one of his most beloved songs—the album resonated strongly in the US.
For its 50th anniversary, the album is reissued in three formats: all include Bob Ludwig’s 2016 remaster; the Super Deluxe 3CD/1BR edition adds 18 unreleased tracks, demos, and a 1972 BBC concert, plus a 5.1 Blu-ray mix and performances. The Super Deluxe audio is also available on 4LP.
