Over the past decade, San Francisco’s Deafheaven have redefined metal with a compelling discography, highlighted by their innovative 2018 album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. Starting with their 2010 four-song demo, founders George Clarke and Kerry McCoy have pushed genre boundaries. To mark their 10th anniversary and five albums, Deafheaven planned a world tour that was canceled by COVID. Instead, they recorded 10 Years Gone—studio session versions of fan favorites like “Dream House,” “Vertigo,” and their first-ever song, “Daedalus,” now released as the album’s lead single.
