Cranes — formed by siblings Alison and Jim Shaw — rose to prominence after touring with The Cure in 1992. Following the collapse of Dedicated in 1998, they launched their own label, Dadaphonic, releasing three albums between 2001 and 2008.
Particles and Waves, their penultimate release, blends ’90s alt-rock roots with modern electronica — downtempo beats, swirling textures, jangly guitars, and Alison Shaw’s ethereal vocals. Long sought by fans, it’s now available on vinyl for the first time: a limited edition of 1,000 individually numbered copies on crystal clear, blue and white marbled wax.
