Colin Potter returns to Polytechnic Youth with a vinyl debut of tracks from his 1989 cassette releases Recent History Vols. I and II, originally recorded between 1982 and 1989 at his home in Tollerton. Remastered in 2020, the eight experimental synth pieces reflect Potter’s early explorations with analogue gear, primitive sampling, and digital effects. Revered for his solo work, ICR label, and role in Nurse with Wound, Potter describes the collection as a window into a bygone creative era. The limited edition LP (300 copies) features artwork by longtime collaborator Jonathan Coleclough.
