Carole King and Gerry Goffin, one of the most influential songwriting duos of the early 1960s, created a timeless catalog of hits spanning pop, soul, R&B, and rock & roll. Meeting as students at Queens College in 1958, they married, had children, and worked out of 1650 Broadway in NYC, crafting classics for a wide range of artists. This album compiles some of King’s early vocal recordings from the late ’50s and early ’60s, including many iconic tracks co-written with Goffin that still resonate more than 50 years later.
