Needle Mythology releases Love Crowns and Crucifies, the long-mythologised “lost” album by Care, the Liverpool duo of Ian Broudie and Paul Simpson. Formed in 1982 after stints with bands including Big In Japan, The Teardrop Explodes, and The Wild Swans, Care released three acclaimed singles before disbanding, later gaining a devoted following in the Philippines. Drawn from the original tapes and newly mastered at Abbey Road, this first vinyl edition of the Diamonds and Emeralds recordings features rare demos, alternate versions, and previously unheard tracks, all approved by Broudie and Simpson.
