Buzzcocks' 1978 album Love Bites sees the band fully come into their own, with Pete Shelley taking the lead after Howard Devoto's departure. The album features energetic yet sometimes gloomy performances, including Steve Diggle's first lead vocal on the semi-acoustic track "Love is Lies." The standout track, "Ever Fallen in Love," blends romance gone wrong with Shelley's emotional vocals and a catchy guitar line, cementing its classic status. The album also includes strong tracks like "Real World," with its poignant lyrics and crisp band performance. This reissue, restored from the original tapes, comes with a booklet featuring unseen images and extensive liner notes by Jon Savage.
