Blossom Dearie, a key figure in the NYC bebop scene and friend to the "Birth of the Cool" circle, returned from Paris to record her 1957 self-titled debut for Verve after being discovered by Norman Granz. Showcasing her swinging vocals and refined piano work, the album features Great American Songbook classics and French-language tracks. This remastered Verve By Request reissue is pressed on 180g vinyl at Third Man in Detroit.
