Blood Spilled, the latest single from Blonde Redhead, pairs cascading guitars, relentless rhythms and one of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Kazu Makino’s most explosive vocal performances with an exploration of mortality, grief and the enduring bond between body and soul.
The song surges with ecstatic intensity as Kazu lingers on “each and every cell” and the urge to “sing and scream just to hear myself”, transforming these moments into affirmations of the beauty, vulnerability and freedom of physical existence.
Suspended between the earthly and the ethereal, the track turns profound loss into a fierce celebration of being alive. It is accompanied by unreleased B-side Crimson Door. The single arrives among global touring and festival dates throughout 2026, with notable syncs including a major Rick & Morty placement for For The Damaged Coda, plus Grey’s Anatomy, You and Ray Donovan.
