Formed in 1981 by ex-Skids guitarist Stuart Adamson, Big Country blended punk, new wave, and Celtic-influenced rock, with signature guitar sounds mimicking traditional Scottish instruments. Their 1983 breakthrough album The Crossing, featuring hits like “In A Big Country” and “Fields of Fire,” reached No. 3 in the UK and broke into the US Top 20. This reissue replicates the original Mercury Records release with a textured blue sleeve and high-quality 180g vinyl.
