Rainbow Islands is the debut full-length album from Manchester-based artist Apta, following last year's cassette release. The album features 8 tracks of melodic electronica with subtle layers, catchy hooks, and a nostalgic feel inspired by childhood memories of arcade games like Bubble Bobble. Apta describes the album as a musical representation of the "feel" of those memories—calming yet upbeat with moments of frenetic energy. The LP, released on yellow vinyl in a limited edition of 300, is expanded with an additional track compared to the cassette version.
