Change is Anika’s first solo album in eight years, released on Invada Records and Sacred Bones. A former political journalist and collaborator with Beak> and Tricky, Anika’s latest work blends electronic soundscapes with her Nico-esque, plaintive voice. The album’s nine tracks reflect global anxiety, frustration, and guarded optimism, with a mix of austere, skittering electronics and powerful vocals. Tracks like "Naysayer" and "Never Coming Back" address environmental concerns and societal apathy, inspired by Rachel Carson's Silent Spring and the changing world around her.
