For over three decades, AFI has constantly reinvented their sound, never settling into one genre. Drawing on post-punk and death rock influences like Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, and Siouxsie and the Banshees, AFI fused these sounds with their own identity, producing a record that surprised both fans and themselves.
